ROSE MONOTONE

ROSE MONOTONE

Rose • Lychee • Chrome • Cellophane

Claire Liégent isolates rose oxide and freezes the rest of the bouquet out. What you wear is a flower with the singing scraped off it. Brazilian pink pepper bites cold in the first breath, then a cellophane accord crinkles against it, glassy. Peruvian ambrette stiffens in like cotton pulled off a winter line. Beneath the rose, the lychee stays chilled the way a steel counter keeps the cold of a room before anyone enters it at seven. By mid-morning the flower has not loosened a petal. Haitian vetiver and ambroxan glaze a thin chrome wire under all of it, and the rose keeps its angle without one warm minute. Wear it on a station platform where the light goes flat and northern.

Liégent set herself one rule: write a rose that strips out the part of a rose people wait for. No jam, no garden, no perfume of perfume. She kept the rose oxide for its glint of cold metal under the petal and threw the warmth out with the rest of the bouquet. Lychee goes in as the chilled core laid against the bloom, and it stays at the same low temperature met at the cold tap that morning. Chrome and crystal accords box the flower into straight lines and hold it there. You wear it the way you stand at the start of a working day, the light not yet decided, your hands still cold from the water. What she froze out of the flower carries it further than the bouquet ever would.

Everything you need to know about our perfumes

Over 20% concentrate. We do not dilute our ideas : the formula carries weight. The alcohol content is 78 % vol., allowing for optimal diffusion while preserving the integrity of the raw materials. No water, no fillers : just what’s needed to hold the structure.

Yes. Every batch is aged for up to 6 month on some creations. We don’t fast-track anything. No aggressive filtration. No reckless stabilisation. We let the structure build slowly, until the formula gains depth and coherence. The result: a scent that feels alive and complete from first spray.

We use both : deliberately and without ideology. Natural materials bring texture, irregularity, and depth. Synthetics bring precision, architecture, and contrast. What matters is not the origin, but the effect. We work with absolutes, concretes, resinoids, CO₂ extracts, captive molecules, and reconstitutions when necessary. Every ingredient earns its place.

Yes. We comply with IFRA standards applicable at the time of production, but we don’t make “clean” perfume. Our role is not to strip scent of its power to satisfy a checklist. Full INCI lists are available. If you have specific sensitivities, we recommend testing carefully first doing a patch test.

Color is intentional. Each formula is tinted to match its olfactory identity : not just left to chance. We use both natural extracts (like saffron or resins) and selected colorants when needed, as part of a synesthetic approach to design. Shade and scent are developed together. Slight variations may occur from batch to batch, but nothing is accidental. We don’t hide the color : we compose it.

We include a free sample vial with every bottle purchased on eligible orders. Try it first. If the main bottle remains sealed and untouched, you can return it within reasonable timings.

Because of the design, making the 90 ml bottle larger would mean a diameter too wide to hold comfortably, so we keep the proportions slightly smaller as we have a max diameter of 75-80mm.

Each bottle is handmade, which naturally creates small variations in volume. For this reason, we display 45 ml and 90 ml. In reality, some bottles may contain a little more, but we prefer to stay transparent and announce the minimum rather than advertise 55 ml or 100 ml and risk disappointment when it cannot be guaranteed for every piece.

We ship worldwide from France and the Netherlands. France: free standard delivery (2–3 days), express next-day for €8.90. EU: free standard shipping (7–14 days depending on your country), with tracked and express options available. US, Canada, Japan, Asia-Pacific: standard from €19.90, express from €29.90, with complimentary express on qualifying orders. UK, Gulf States & rest of world: rates vary by destination. Final shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your address.

We completely understand, choosing a fragrance online isn't easy. Because perfume is a sealed hygiene product, we can't accept returns on opened or tested bottles. That's why we include a complimentary sample vial with every full-size order, so you can try before breaking the seal. If the main bottle is still sealed and in its original packaging, you have 30 days to return it for a full refund. Not sure which scent is right for you? Our Discovery Set is the perfect way to explore the collection risk-free.

Orders within the EU include all applicable VAT, no surprises at your door. For deliveries outside the EU (US, UK, Gulf States, Asia, etc.), your local customs authority may apply import duties or taxes upon delivery. These vary by country and are beyond our control, but we're happy to help you estimate them if you reach out before ordering. We always recommend checking your country's import thresholds so there are no unexpected costs.

Our bottles are handmade from laboratory-grade borosilicate glass, the same type used in scientific equipment, making them far more resistant to impact and temperature changes than standard glass. Every order is packed with custom protective inserts, double-boxed, and carefully sealed. Breakage is extremely rare, but if your order does arrive damaged, just contact us within 48 hours with a few photos and we'll replace or refund the affected items, no questions asked.

You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your order is dispatched (usually within 2–3 business days). Tracking is available for most destinations. If anything seems off with your delivery, a missing parcel, a delay, or any other issue, just reach out and we'll sort it out. You can contact us at contact@premierepeau.com or +33 1 88 24 41 62 (Mon–Fri, 10:00–18:00 CET).
