The Full Story

Coranol (CAS 83926-73-2, C11H22O) is a a Swiss fragrance house captive molecule with a fresh, floral character similar to of linalool isolated from coriander seed. It occupies a similar olfactory space but with substantially greater stability and persistence.

The molecule reads as green-floral with muguet transparency, a slight lavender quality, and a clean bergamot-like lift. It is far more durable than natural linalool, which oxidizes rapidly.

Coranol combines exceptionally well with dihydromyrcenol, amplifying freshness and diffusion. At typical usage levels of 2-6%, it provides structural freshness without dominating a composition.

Did you know?
Coranol appears at 6.5% concentration in certain commercial formulations, making it one of the highest-dosed single molecules in mainstream perfumery. Its stability allows concentrations that would cause rapid degradation with natural linalool.
