Scent

The olfactory character of lipstick is specific and recognizable. Waxy, slightly floral, powdery-sweet. The scent is more about atmosphere and association than about individual molecules.

The Full Story

The lipstick accord recreates the distinctive smell of cosmetic lip products: a combination of waxy paraffin, castor oil, rose and violet pigments (from carmine and iron oxides), and powdery-floral notes. The scent is nostalgic and specifically feminine -- evoking a mother's vanity table, a vintage compact, or the deliberate ritual of applying color. Built from waxy materials, rose oxide, violet-type ionones, and powdery musks. The metallic edge comes from the tube itself.
