The Full Story

Bacdanol (CAS 28219-61-6) is a sandalwood-type synthetic. Rich, creamy, milky-woody character. One of several molecules developed as natural sandalwood (Santalum album) supply declines.

Captures the milky-woody core of East Indian sandalwood, though with less complexity than the natural oil (90%+ santalols).

Often combined with other sandalwood synthetics (Javanol, Sandalore, Polysantol).
