The Full Story

Linalyl acetate (CAS 115-95-7) constitutes 25-45% of true lavender oil and 30-45% of bergamot oil. Sweeter, more fruity, and less terpenic than linalool.

In lavender, the linalool/linalyl acetate ratio is the primary quality indicator: higher ester = finer lavender.

Foundational top-to-heart molecule in virtually any formula requiring clean fresh sweetness.

Did You Know?

Did you know?
The linalyl acetate/linalool ratio is the primary quality marker for lavender. Fine French lavender has the highest ester content while lavandin has less. This single ratio determines the difference between a 50 and 200 EUR/kg oil.
