CAS 80-26-2. The acetate ester of alpha-terpineol. a common woody-herbal esters in perfumery. Terpinyl acetate provides a fresh, clean, woody-herbal character with a subtle bergamot-like brightness.

The scent is fresh, woody, and gently herbal, with an ester smoothness that makes it approachable and versatile. It is less piney than isobornyl acetate, less camphoraceous than borneol esters, and has a cleaner, more modern quality. The molecule appears naturally in cypress, juniper, and pine oils.
