Extrait de parfum is the highest concentration sold in fine fragrance: 20 to 30 percent of pure formula in alcohol, where an eau de parfum sits at 15 percent and an eau de toilette at 10. The difference is not only strength. At extrait concentration a formula can carry expensive naturals, orris butter, jasmine absolute, Haitian vetiver, at doses that would be diluted into silence in a lighter format, and it stays on skin eight to twelve hours instead of four.

Every Premiere Peau composition is an extrait at 20 percent. Seven compositions by four independent perfumers, Claire Liegent at Takasago, Florian Gallo and Gregoire Balleydier at DSM-Firmenich, Ugo Charron at MANE. Raw materials with named origins: Greek saffron, Italian and French iris concretes, Alba white truffle, Haitian vetiver, Croatian immortelle. Hand blown borosilicate flacons in 90 ml and 45 ml, composed in Paris, bottled in Oise.

An extrait is applied in small touches, two or three points, and left alone. It is the most economical format per wear: fewer sprays, longer hold. The seven are below, and all seven come as 2 ml vials in the discovery set so the choice is made on your skin, not at a counter.
