Karanal (CAS 17909-77-2) is a synthetic molecule with powerful ambery-woody character. Dry, velvety, radiant warmth between classic amber (sweet, balsamic) and dry wood (cedary, clean).

Notable for textural quality: smooth, almost creamy woodiness without sweetness. Drier than ambroxan, less crystalline, more enveloping.
