Majantol (CAS 103694-68-4) is a synthetic molecule with clean, fresh, lily-of-the-valley character. Developed as an alternative to hydroxycitronellal and Lyral, both IFRA restricted.

Similar to hydroxycitronellal but with more woody-green undertone and slightly less melon-cucumber freshness. Better safety profile.

In perfumery, increasingly important as older muguet molecules are restricted.
