The Full Story

Cis-3-hexenyl butyrate (CAS 16491-36-4) combines green-leaf freshness (hexenol backbone) with tropical-fruity sweetness (butyrate group). Result: green banana, unripe tropical fruit, garden herbs with fruity twist.

Greener than ethyl butyrate, fruitier than leaf alcohol. Dual character useful for naturalistic green-fruity effects.
