The Full Story

Aldehyde C-14 (gamma-undecalactone, CAS 104-67-6) is not an aldehyde but a gamma-lactone. Historical misnomer. It is the molecule most associated with ripe peach skin: creamy, warm, fuzzy, with coconut-lactonic undertone.

Bridges fruity and musky families. Essential in peach, apricot, and creamy-fruity accords. Also appears in tropical, coconut-adjacent, and skin-scent compositions.
