Globalide (CAS 34902-57-3, also Habanolide by a Swiss fragrance house) is a 15-membered ring macrocyclic musk lactone. Provides clean, warm, slightly animalic skin-like quality that polycyclic musks lack.

The macrocyclic ring gives olfactory similarities to natural musk that smaller synthetics cannot achieve. Biodegradable.

Increasingly important as the industry shifts from polycyclic to macrocyclic musks.
